That maybe the longest sentence ever.

I just bought a new fan motor for mine at AutoZone.
I then just attached it to shroud and blades and put it back in.

I'm thinking that getting a fan from a minivan or something else may present a problem installing.

Good Luck

Just replace the motor. MAke it brand new, that way if something goes wrong you can get it replaced.

Re: so let me tell you all my fun night last night when my fan stoped working

My #2 fan went out during the winter (I guess) and the engine never got hot....until the weather warmed up.

$26 dollars at O'Riellys & all is good now.

Fans aren't the most fun thing to change, but it wasn't hard either. Just more had to come apart than I initially thought have to.

Why would you goto the junkyard for that? That part is so cheap you should just buy it new.

It's a very important piece afterall. Do you want to crack your engine block over a serious overheat? That would cost you a lot more then the $30 for a new fan motor. Besides it's a real easy fix.

new fan motors are pretty cheap, pick one up at the local autoparts store and be on your way.

you said it was running hot while driving? Hows the air dam?

I had a similar thing happen a couple months ago, had a belt break, lost the alt and water pump, believe me it gets a lot hotter faster with no water flowing, blew water all over the place. To make matters worse i forgot my phone, had to walk to a persons house to call for a tow, left my car in neutral, rolled it 6-8 feet into a guard rail and caused over 1000$ in damage on top of overheating and a tow. and you think your night sucked....

Dude my car did that not two weeks ago. It sucks b/c it was me and my buddy. We let it cool down then once we get going it will stay down but if we stop were done lol. But i wired it up to this switch in my car where i can turn it off and on when i want to.
