Blower motor where is it?

Anyone got a pik of where the blower motor is for the a/c and heat? I'm pretty sure the problem is the motor... Any1 got trial and error suggestions for trying to figure out if it is the blower motor? It has come on before and i can feel the cold and hot air come out.. .its just when its on high it doesn't blow i can just feel the diff in temperatures... let me know and that pik would be great thanks

It's under the hood on the passsengers side of the firewall. But if it runs in every speed except high, it's probably a bad high speed relay, which is right next to the motor.

It doesn't run in every speed at all... i got it last august and one day it decided to turn on but only once.. i can feel air coming from it hot or cold but no power to it at all other than that one time.. not even sure if hot and cold was from engine bay either and is it in interioir or exterior

It could be the switch, wiring, relays, resistor pack, or the motor. Look around a bit on the electronics board, and this board, it's been discussed a few times at least. It might also be helpful to know exactly what year, make, model, etc car you're working with.

Re: Blower motor where is it?

Try setting the slider to vent, and the fan to one of the medium settings. Then go under the hood and tap on the blower motor case. If you need to know what it looks like, just go to any auto parts website and look up a replacement vent fan motor. You could also set the fan speed to high and disconnect the plug to the motor, you should have battery voltage on one wire and ground on the other. If there's voltage and the fan doesn't run it's time for a new fan motor.

Re: Blower motor where is it?

The fan motor would be just out of frame at the top left. The two plugs chillin out on the passengers side valve cover are from the AIR system which someone has deleted. The breather on the passengers valve cover would normally be connected to the capped port on the throttle body. The valve covers are aftermarket, and the original engine for the car should have had centerbolt heads, so unless there are adapters I'd guess at least the heads have been changed. I'm not sure what's up with the blue wire loom cutting across the engine compartment. Just from the pic I can't see anything that would cause the fan not to work, but who knows what's hiding.

Re: Blower motor where is it?

The blue loom is just some custom electricals i put in... so i should look at top left where the fan should be? Is it on top or under the car? Thanks for the help again... not much of a mechanic just like the electronics and some body work
