AC system parts availability?
The short version:
Does anyone know where I can get these:
Here is the long explanation if you are interested:
I'm working on the AC system in my modified '82. It currently has the serpentine belt system off of a '92 RS.
Several years ago, when the need developed, I was unable to find a replacement vacuum diverter valve (I think that is what it is called). You know the little round thing that the AC control lever spins that has a bunch of vacuum hoses connected and controls various diaphragms.
Does anyone know where one can be found?
Second, I need a high pressure hard line off of a serpentine V8 car. The one that goes from the condenser to the evaporator and houses the orifice. The high pressure service port on mine is non-functional and leaking. It does not appear to even have a schrader valve in it, but it only has a very small leak ... weird ...
I would like to get a new line if they are available anywhere. If new replacements are not available, I'll have to look for a used one.
Finally, I need replacement high and low side service port caps for an R-12 system. I know I could get a conversion kit and use R-134 style ports and caps, but I would rather not pile extra fittings on top if i don't have too. It would be two more seals that I would rather not have. I'm not using 134 anyway.
I've searched for this stuff but have not had any luck finding it.
Any leads would be appreciated.
Thanks,

If they work, they will be better than what I have.
How many do you have?
I may want 2 or 3 ... if you have them...depending on the price.

Re: AC system parts availability?
HerntD3 sent me a vacuum selector valve.
I'm still looking for a high side hard line and r-12 service port caps.
I suspect that someone probably still sells the caps.
I suppose I may have to head to a junk yard for the high side hard line...

Presuming you mean the schrader valve caps ?

Link above is general quick search... you may find something specific with a bit of effort and may solve your hard line leak as well?

Re: AC system parts availability?
That is sort-of like what I want...except, like all the rest I found, it is for R-134A systems, not R-12. I searched google and E-Bay before posting but could not find the R-12 style caps. There were a few that mentioned R-12, but most did not give the actual sizes and the ones that did give sizes were all R-134, not R-12.
All I was able to find for R-12 was the R-134A conversion kits.

Re: AC system parts availability?
i just purchased a new filter dryer and it came with the R12 style plastic caps on both the low side outlet and the pressure switch outlet (both are part of the filter dryer). Four Seasons from RA.

Re: AC system parts availability?
it was, I think, cheaper than that kit anyway
but they also offer a service line cap kit that includes them for less than $4
Or I could always send you the one I don't need once i connect my pressure switch to the second port on the dryer.
