84 camaro heating problem

My car runs at about 230 without running the a/c and about 240 with a/c. on high way it runs about 225. My radiator fan runs all the time. Are these temps good are bad? Is the fan running all times good or bad?

Is your air dam in place and intact? Look under the front of the car. It's the black plastic thing sticking down going all the way across under the radiator
And what are the temps where you are located ?

Jony.....
What engine do you have? Electric or mechanical fan?

Elec. fans will run anytime if the A/C is on.

IIRC elec. fans will turn on at 238 degrees.

Yes it is intact. I live in Phoenix when highs get about 115

It's was the original 305 5.0 ho but now it's a 350 but even when I had the 305 it would do the same. It's an electric fan that runs all the time

I know the feeling, I'm in Bakersfield and it's 110 out there right now. These are pretty normalish temps for the conditions we have to deal with. Do you have a 180 degree thermostat in there? It will only keep it from heating up quite as fast and then make no difference, but it could help a little on short drives. There's also water wetter and a couple of coolant additives that make a little difference for me. You always have the dual fan option as well but in a month or two it will go away and get more normal...
