Options for coolant resevior.

Just curious what people are running for coolant over flow's in their cars. I dont want the big bulky stock one, dont want to run a 4th gen (Intercooler is going there soon) and im not sure how much space ill have between the radiator and the belt setup with the blower. Any input/pictures is welcome!

Unit from an Explorer. It holds both the coolant and washer fluid in one container. Mounted on driver's side up tight with the radiator support. I don't have any pictures but it has been mentioned on here before.

Also seen some people make their own out of PVC. Too much hassle for me though. PVC one is on here as well.

You can get a small overflow setup from Summit Racing. They're pretty compact and can fit anywhere.

Here is some pictures of the explorer setup. Cheap, clean, and simple.

Looks like a nice install, But that space is occupied for me. Gonna have intercooler pipes through there this winter too.

There are various GM vehicles w/ washer bottles mounted between the fender/batt tray that can be made to work. Some are pretty compact too.I was looking at a lot of them before I ended using the 4th gen piece.

Re: Options for coolant resevior.

Hi, This what I use. Its from a 2007 Mercedes. Got it new from Ebay for 20 dollars.

I removed the charcoal canister and window washer container and re-located the radiator overflow to the drivers side. Hope this helps. Work great.

Louis

Re: Options for coolant resevior.

I ordered a stainless steel bottle bottle last night - 3" wide by 8" tall and holds a pint. Im gonna see if i can tap it and put a fitting on the side of it then mount it next to the radiator.

Bingo. I mounted mine on the metal support (that the hood latches to) between the radiator and bumper.
