lower heater core hose

Engine: 305 tbi
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: Stock
lower heater core hose
any tips for getting at the lower heater hose at the back of the block? I had to use the piece that was cut and bypassed when I did the heater core (home Depot special)

Find a friend with long arms and tiny hands.
Kidding. Whatever you do, don't tug on it too hard or you end up with a leaking heater core.
Try to wiggle a hook like these in between the hose and pipe.
Then get the straw from a can of silicone spray or WD-40 in there and give it a squirt.
It should break free easily after that.
