Has anyone put a 3 row mishimoto radiator into their 3rd gen camaro? I ordered one and dont know if I'll need new brackets or a fan or anything, if someone has done it and could let me know how that worked out for then that would be greatly appreciated otherwise I'll be posting how it goes for me on here
I've heard good things about those radiators. That being said, ultimately it's about volume of coolant moved and airflow across the radiator. 3 row isn't necessarily going to be better. Still....I've heard good things about those Mishi's. Unfortunately, pretty much any radiator that ups the volume of coolant across the radiator will need to be physically larger, and consequently will require some sort of finessing to make it work. -if yours fits without issue, post up, and I'm sure there will be others here that follow suit. In all my years here, I don't think i've heard of a better radiator, that fits without issue.
Let us know how your project turns out.
Fwiw, I'm running a stock radiator with standard pump and a 4th gen fan set up. MUCH better! -more on that if you're interested.

I've heard alot of good things about this radiator from 2 of my friends that have them but they dont have a 3rd gen camaro, they say it should be plug and play, I'm gonna have to make some sort of upper bracket for the radiator as my current radiator is just zip tied on, I think my current radiator is clogged and i wanna build up my car over time and figured since i have the extra funds and need to replace it now might as well get something good, I'll let you know how it goes, my radiator arrives today and I'll probably be putting it in Saturday

I don't know if it's made anymore, but my 20 year old Modine radiator fit perfect. And my local speed shop said my car kept some of the most stabile temps they had ever seen on chassis dyno.

So I got the old radiator out and I did not realize how much of a hack job the fan currently in it has, I need to figure out how to get the fan mounted or get a new fan, let me know if you guys have any suggestions
So I got the radiator all mounted in and the fan on, need to fix a wire other than that it's all good, just ziptied on rn since I dont have a radiator bracket but I'll probably be custom fabricating one within the next couple week and I'll share the template in case anyone else needs to make one
So aside from maybe an upper bracket, (I didn't have one to check it with) and depending on the fan you have you dont need to change anything to get the 3 row mishimoto radiator installed, my car has been staying at around 180-220 when its warmer outside, I havent had a chance to take it on a longer drive but in the morning when it was around like 60° outside the engine didn't even get to 200 on my 15 minute drive to work, it took almost 3 gallons of coolant to fill the radiator. If anyone has any questions about how it's working just ask away.
got any photos of it installed and how you did mount he fan/shrouds?
I'll take some photos of it later but the fan mounts on the old radiator were literally plastic washers and zip ties so I basically did the same thing and its zip tied at the top since I dont currently have a bracket, it's all held on pretty tightly
So I'm not knocking that new radiator at all, but if that fan set up on the OLD radiator is all you had.....no real mystery as to why you were running hot. I'm running a dual 4th gen set up, which is similar to the thirdgen dual fan, but with better fans and of course, the shroud. -made a huge difference.

The old radiator and fan on mine were both pretty bad, it's running normal now that I put the mishimoto on it, the old radiator was pretty rusty and I'm pretty sure it got clogged since it sat for 4 months waiting for a new motor in a pretty filthy environment, before it sat it wasnt overheating but I do need to get a better fan setup for it when I save up some extra cash
hows it doing so far I'm in the market of a new radiator
its been doing pretty good I've been having other problems so I unfortunately havent been able to drive it that much but it hasn't overheated since I did that swap
