My rescued car started puking coolant inside. I bought a new heater core, and decided it is a good time to replace the hoses.

I have no idea why my 37 year old heater core failed. It might be a mystery forever.
I have mouse damaged hoses everywhere I look. New Radiator hoses and heater hoses are not optional. It feels good to get fresh rubber in place of all this old junk.

I got the heater core replaced in about two hours with help from a flexible drive tool. It really wasn't that bad.

I need to replace the two hoses that actually attach to the heater core. Does anyone have part numbers or advice on these two hoses?

Another mouse nest, this one under the dash.

I found two duralast part numbers for the hoses that connect to the heater core.
Duralast B88353 for the 3/4"hose
Duralast B91024 for the 5/8" hose
They should be here tomorrow and I will post my results.

I purchased all the hoses from Rockauto several years ago, for my 1984 Trans AM. All fit perfectly.

Corrosion. Lack of cooling system maintenance.

2 hours is pretty good R&R time for those, IMO.

I bought the upper and lower rad hoses from RockAuto, and three of the heater hoses. If I had done my homework better before ordering I could have used RA for all of my hoses.
Heres a couple more pix.

One was incorrect. I have all new coolant hoses except these last two. When I can swap these I will update this thread.

Of course I only used Made in the USA Ideal brand hose clamps. in 1953 All 33 drivers of the INDY 500 used Ideal clamps, and they have been the choice of winners ever since.
