noob! what is needed?

I have searched and cant seem to find wut im looking for .

I am swapping out my 305tpi for a 350 tpi. Ive read up that you need 2 tune for this.

I have the T-5 which may make it more of a tuning issue 2 run correctly.

anyways, my question is.. Wut all do i need to do my own custom tuning? I also plan to put a slightly larger cam with a 108 or so lobe separation so i need 2 be able 2 tune for that as well.

Re: noob! what is needed?

If you keep the 305 injectors and 305 PROM with the 350 it will run OK. Although it will run out of fuel on the top end and go lean.

Once you go with the proper (or larger) injectors you will need to set up the tune better.

RBob.

Re: noob! what is needed?

What kind of investment are we talking about here in order to get started, and how difficult is it to tune an engine that you are not really sure what it has in it?

Build a ALDL cable ($25?)and get the software free (winALDL). Borrow a lappy and see what your sensors are seeing. Read stickies.
