So you can open it then huh? That's good. I can't open it from my own attachment here, but I can still open with TP.

That was just the first time I actually got TP to work so I shut it down a little prematurely.

I have 12 saved files, but most of 'em probably wouldn't be much good for actual tuning. A couple of 'em are quite long though. Ya might get bored watchin those.... LOL

Is there a limit on how long it will record data?

Re: Post Tuner Pro Log file?

Wow, your engine is running super lean at idle. At 35-40kpa 750-800 rpm your blm is pegged at 160.

Re: Post Tuner Pro Log file?

im not sure if you were coasting but Watch the tps % and tps voltage.
If idle is 0% and .67v. the engine rpm was 1600 or above and the tps was at idle position.
your blm shows your always lean around 154.

I'll look at em n make sure I posted the right logs. Dunnu any other reason why the vss would show speed.

Shot in the dark here, but Im guessing blm being maxed out means I will need a reprogram to make it right.?

Re: Post Tuner Pro Log file?

Are you talking about the logs I posted in post #9? (logs 13 and 14)

Those were at idle, just sitting still. At about 200 seconds in on #13 it stumbles and dies, then I restarted it. Same thing on #14 at about 360 seconds in.
Just wanna make sure we're on the same page... LOL

I noticed the other day on a uphill pull in high gear it pulls a lot of timing, (10 degrees or so), and the knock retard numbers climb, (sometimes up to 6. something).
This is probably caused by it being lean I suppose.

Here's an uphill log.

Re: Post Tuner Pro Log file?

Your engine is running lean. At 35-40kpa your average is maxed out at 160. The hits at 45kpa looks good in lc it was 128 .

The BLM was around upper 120's to lower 130's until it goes into closed loop and then it climbs to 160.

It was running lean before the cam swap so I was expecting it to still be the same or worse. LOL

So what should I try first? I have a set of 22# injectors now, and also a couple sets of Northstar injectors, (23.5# as far as I've been able to find out).
It also has an adjustable FPR.

Another question, while I'm here;

What are "normal" readings for BLM? MAP kPa? Injector bpw?

Re: Post Tuner Pro Log file?

First thing I would verify is fuel pressure, then you could use a afpr or I can tune off datalogs. You have high engine vacuum if you are in 35-40kpa, generally 40-60pka at idle depend on the engine and altitude. Once the engine goes into cl the ecm is reading the o2 to make changes ideally 128 is no correction being as close as 2 up or down is real close in the tune. Inj pw at idle is 2-2.5 or so

Re: Post Tuner Pro Log file?

I checked fuel pressure just after I got it back together, but, as usual, I can't remember what it was... lol

Seems like it was 40-43 or so. I'll check it again.

Now that you mention it, I've never hooked a vacuum gauge up to it. LOL

Re: Post Tuner Pro Log file?

Ok, got it back together with the 22# injectors.
Fuel pressure with the engine running is jumping between 35-45psi for some reason. (the needle on the gauge is moving so fast it's hard to see). Cheap gauge maybe? This is just one I had laying around. I have a liquid filled one on the way.

Started right up, better than it ever has, blm is considerably closer, but still not 128. But it's not going to closed loop for some reason.

First log is cold start and run till it got up to normal temp.
Second it didn't want to start without holding the throttle open slightly.
Third it started right up again like the first time, but still no closed loop.

Re: Post Tuner Pro Log file?

It should be going into cl on the logs. The first one holds steady at 176F but the o2 isnt sweeping, Im wondering if the o2 isnt getting hot enough now. The fuel gauge bouncing that much is odd my only gueses are the gauge or the diaphragm seat not sealing well.

Re: Post Tuner Pro Log file?

Yea, I don't understand why it didn't go into closed loop. Before the injector swap it always went into cl at 130 degrees, (Or 140 I can't remember now).

I'm using the same fuel pressure gauge, but it's attached to the port on the fuel rail now. It was attached to a TBI line adapter on the return line between the engine and the fenderwell.

The BLM is still around 145. That's still lean right?

Re: Post Tuner Pro Log file?

I'm wondering if my O2 sensor is even working now. It hasn't set a code yet, but then I've only drove it 10-15 miles since the injector swap. (The truck doesn't like snow at all... LOL)

Is there a way to test an O2 sensor?

Re: Post Tuner Pro Log file?

145 blm is still lean, If you have a temp gun shooting it at the o2 bung the o2 will not start to swing until it get to 500-600f. Ypu can always wire in a acdelco afs-74 from amazon.

Oh I have. on the way home from town earlier at 74mph in 5th gear, just a tiny bit of throttle and it spins.. LOL

I've got a few other O2 sensors around. The heated ones just take an additional 12v hot wire, (switch on hot), and a ground, correct? I think mine have 4 wires. What's the 4th wire?

Somewhere I've seen how to wire them, but as usual I can't remember...
