Not trying to be a jerk, but please try to write in complete sentences. It's hard to understand what you're asking.

Are you saying you want to run a TPI tune on a HSR 383?

BTW, if you don't have tire shredding torque with a HSR 383 and anything close to a streetable camshaft, there's something wrong with your current tune. I'd focus on getting that right.

I have a lt1 hot cam
roller
it's goes to 5500 to 6000
and I can't even drive the car on the street as it is
it is getting a ls1 front brake upgrade in 1 week and then I will be better
it pulls like a raped bitch
I just don't drive it that way.
it's good for drag racing track and that's it
I street my car 99% of the time

Re: Question hsri to tpi tune

The torque boost in the2800-3400 range likely will want more fuel than the hsr tune. Maybe even a deg or two less timing depending how aggressive your tune is now. The hp peak rpm comes down with tpi and so will the peak number so it may want less fuel in the 4000-5000 range. Def less above that but you wont need to run over 5500.

iT wont be optimal But it will likely run

Re: Question hsri to tpi tune

Ok
that's what I thought
ty
now I have to decide wtf I'm gonna do
it used to be with a low compression motor I had a 305 tpi t5
and 9 bolt
I did 14.3 at 99 burning out 245 street tires non stop
I could floor the car anywhere down low and it would smoke posi 2nd gear and chip 3rd gear
275 hp and 375 tq engine at a dyno
I and if I floor it 2nf gear like I used to it doesn't do **** untill after 4500
and by that time in going so fast I can't stop
I need suspension and shocks
and the ls1 front brakes

Re: Question hsri to tpi tune

My guess is the accelerator enrichment routine is way off on your HSR. Those short runner manifolds such as the HSR and Miniram like a very different AE profile than TPI's.

On my Miniram, I've found that proper AE "sets the tone" for how the engine follows through afterward on how it pulls. If it bogs on AE, you're done (either too much AE fuel or too little)... it just feels sluggish and doesn't recover for a while... But when it's right, you can really feel the difference... the transition from AE fueling to PE is seamless.

Frankly I can only imagine how much power and torque I'd have if I had a 383 under that Miniram.

Just be aware, when you put TPI on that 383, you're going to be extremely disappointed above ~4500 rpm... I agree with Orr that it'll probably "run", but you'll be shortchanging that 383.

Re: Question hsri to tpi tune

I would go with the FIRST TPI instead of the stock TPI. That will be large enough to run properly on the 383 and still give you the torque you desire.

And you need to do a proper dyno tune. E-tuning something like that is only good for startup and driving to the dyno.
