i have a friend overseas with a 91 firebird v6, he is looking to drop in an older gen chevy 350 and then topping it off with a holley sniper backed by a 700r4.
most parts he has to pay a pretty penny for as they come from overseas. What are all the parts needed to make the car basically have full functionality if he went with the sniper. Here are some of his questions.
will airbags still work?
how to lock up torque converter?
can I run a TPI small cap dizzy with external coil or does it have to be a vacuum controlled dizzy?
will my speedometer work, and how, he says the yellow buffer box is built into the ecm??
I will attach the list from my sniper build with a 5 speed
Airbags should still work
Not100% om the Tq converter you might be able to use the sniper or get a 700r4 lock up kit from painless or someone else
2 options for a distributor, either a vaccum controlled distributor or the sniper hyper spark system
Yes your speedometer will still work.
Is he planning on removing the ECM in its entirety?
