GN fan switch

Axle/Gears: Always the good ones
GN fan switch

Ig have what i believe to be a gn coolant fan switch? question i have is is it the one that goes on the driver head or the pass head? also does it have the slide on top connector vs. the push on type? just making sure i have the right part my tta unfortuneately is still in storage and my formie now hs the engine pulled out :-(im not having good luck)

please let me know

sounds like a cooant temp sensor.I'm fairly sure gm made the plug type conector on all gm cooling fan switches.

thanks thats what i was thinkin too but since once is torn down and the other one in storage im kinda sol at the moment .....
and i dont havr a car available to me all the time :-(
son very soon the formie will arise and once it does the tta goes under the knife /(stock of course)

The cooling fan switch usually is on the pass side head towards the back.If your not sure just ground the wire to the switch w/ key on .If its the right one the fan will kick on.The wire to the cooling fan should be green w/white stipe i think.

If it has a single pin cinnector, like the Knock Sensor, it's a fan switch.
I generally mount it by the thermostat (engine side of the thermostat).

GN on temp is 205dF

guess im outta luck then it looks like the temp sensor for the guages in the drvr cyl head ....wish my luck would change lol

Have you verified the temperature that switch turns the fan on? I have a fan switch from a "GN" but it wont' turn the fan on until 230degrees.

That's a universal replacement, some bean counters, idea of this is close enough.

Standard Brand Ignition parts shows a TS-136 as having a 204-220 close temp..

Hate to even mention them but Hypertech has some fan switches of lower operating temps.

Yes...my scanner shows 208* when the second fan kicks on.
