Newbie, just starting to tune
All right I have been burning chips for like a mouth now I am using the ARAP bin. I was knocking a lot so I decided to tone down the timing. I would like to know if I am doing this the right way and most efficient way. I first went for a drive and recorded a few hard accelerations in my car using Craig Moates software. Then I loaded the data in excel and I looked at the RPM and Load that I was getting knocks and timing retard at and lowed the timing in TunerCAT there. Is that the most efficient way of tuning your timing tables just by messing with it a little bit then going out and recording data and doing the same thing over again? Does anyone have any tips?
Here is a copy of my 3 hard accelerations, the first run the car is in open loop

Should i keep, lowering the ARAP timing advance untill i get no knock at WOT. Is that what you do, or do you have some knock at WOT?

I am using version 8.51. His software dumps it into a .csv file. I then went through it and made it a lot cleaner and highlighted the engine knock areas.

I am pretty sure there is a way to make excel automaticly do this so you don't have to go through it and clean it up. I'll look into it.
