With Ford 30lbs injectors..........???
Hello everyone,
I have a question burning a chip with my 30lbs Ford injectors. Do U change the Ford 30lbs injectors in the injector values to maybe 32-34lbs injectors?

IM running 48lbs of FP and have mine set for 35 lbs in the chip. This gave me the most 128s to start with, just have to see what works best for your setup.

I was wondering about something similar b/c I recently installed 24# SVOs. After the install I lowered my fuel pressure to about 40lbs. figuring to start with a low pressure and go from there. After a few brief tests to get my blms close to 128 I had to program my prom as if I had 22#'s. So far this seems to have gotten me pretty close and I know I should give the car what it wants, but does this seem strange at all? So far I haven't heard anyone using these 24# injectors and setting them to a smaller size. Right now I'm using an ARAP with a stock 89 350 timing table and few other minor changes.

When changing injectors.
You set the F/P to get the cruise, light throttle stuff close.
The correct the idle BLs with the battery voltage table.
Different injectors function differently at different voltages, so the intial biasing may be wrong. The different characteristics of the opening and closing times of the injectors is taken care of in the volatge table.
Once you get the idle and cruise right then you can start dialing in the WOT stuff.

I'm wondering then, should I raise the fuel pressure to around stock GM 43psi, set the injector constant to approx. 26# and then mess with the PW correction or is the way I have it just fine? The blm's are between 126-128 at cruise the way I have it now. I haven't messed with WOT at all since I'm not there yet. It's still strange to me that I seem to be the only one running SVO 24#'s at a lower injector constant. Could my voltage be that different from everyone elses that I'm forced to run the inj. constant so low?
I don't want to start tuning other aspects if my initial settings are wrong to begin with. That's really the reason why it's bothering me so much.
Thanks

Nevermind that babble above. Sorry for that. I have afew things I'm going to try. I wasn't thinking totally straight when I posted that last one. Gotta keep reading the archives and doing more searches. I get just a little closer to a better understanding of this each time I do. Thanks for your help so far guys.
