I am looking to upgrade my current Gateway Solo 9300 (desktop replacement) for something a lot smaller. I was looking and really like the Sony VIAO R505 slimline. The only part of the computer that has a serial port DB9 is the docking port. I saw at CompUSA that they sell USB->Serial adapters. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with these and weather they work with Datamaster, C.Moates software, TunerCat LT1 flash program. I would just like to not have to take the docking station along all the time.
