Anyone crazy enough to study this data...
This is what I got for the sensor readins but have no idea how to read it. Can anyone help? Or at least lead me to an outside source. I didn't find anything useful when I searched this forum on how to read this stuff...

Damn! I sent that data from a Mac....maybe that is the problem. I'll try the PC. Also, I have been thinking of making it into a pdf file. I think that is my best choice. But thanks bro for stepping up to the plate...
As for being very small, that was a 17-20 minute ride. What's the best amount of time for data....40 minutes? I would asume that is plenty of time for WOT, part throttle driving, hills...OverDrive on the freeway and the like.
The only thing is....can the PC handle being on that long? I'm thinking of the trucks's 12v system. Will it fry the computer?
Thanks homes...CTOWN

All I saw was like 30 lines of data. I would think 15 mins done properly is enough. Are you asking if a computer can log data for 30 mins? Also, be careful if your combination is radical on those non-tuned WOT runs. What is your combo?
I know it can handle the minutes logging data, but can it handle the 12v that the truck is supplying...I'm afraid its gonna fry the computer...
The combination is a L6 250cid mated to a 2004R. Ported and polished cylinder head. 1.94, 1.60 valves. Big block Crane roller rockers. Balanced and blue printed. Internally, everything is stock, including the compression.
High torque cam providing 'round 15-16in. of vacuum. 4 barrel aftermarket intake. 560cfm 2barrel TBI system used from '87-91' for light trucks 305, 350, 454cid engines.
One 3 chamber FLOWMASTER, no cat, exiting out the rear.
It seems to average 108 for the BLM cells at or near idle, but with WOT, it gets leaner 'round 121. It has never reached 128. The two codes I get is 33, 45. Is a high manifold pressure dangerous for the engine.
Thanks HOMETOWN...chevytown

if you want to power the laptop, get a cigarette lighter adapter for your laptop. Another way to present the data is by saving it in excel format (After all, most of us here have it) or in note pad. I prefer excel myself but not everyone will have it on their computers.

It's a 250cid straight six.
Sup dims...
No, I am not hooking it up to a 12v source....I read somewhere (incorrectly I guess) that unless you have a 110v hooked up to it, it will not populate the cells fully
The computer hasn't froze so far so i'm not too worried?
How do you save it in excell format? Do you save it when running WinALDL? I'm gonna hook it up and see if I can save it in excell...Late

NVM about the excel. I opened it on one of the unix computers in the engineering building and it came out all f'd up. I thought you saved it in some funny format Looks fine on my pc. One thing, turn down the fuel pressure. You are way too rich. Like, really rich. Try to get the blms more centered around the 128 mark. How are you doing the higher throttle runs? Just by stalling the tc witht he truck stationary? You should go get a cheap laptop to see the engine working at higher rpms while the truck is going through the gears. That way you can see where the engine is at throught eh power band as far as fuel is concerned. As far as reading it, if you have microsoft office, you can use excel. Makes the data alot easier to interprite. The o2 sensor wont tell you much unless your at wot but even then its not really useful to determine the Air fuel ratio precicely, just gives you an idea of where the motor is at. For starters, ff you want to get the engine running a little more toward 14.7:1, youll need to get a laptop so you can adjust the fuel pressure to get teh blms more toward 128 under normal driving conditions. Youll also want to make sure your not lean at WOT after you adjust the fuel pressure.
going to a DIS might be tough. i woulg suggest seeing if the SBC electronic dizzy will fit. for some reason i think they do. anyways use the timing control in the ecm. also if your gonna run boost suggest repining and running a 749 out of a syclone/typhon.this will give you aot more felxibilty. and the supercharger adn be mounted on top of the intake manifold or if your as crafty as i belive you will find a way to do it without removing the dizzy. that timing control is gonna be realy nessacary. al these things to think about. have you tried running a bin from a 4.3 v6 ?? might get you closer right off the bat. the engines are pretty close in size to start with. you could also convert your existing dizy to electronic status by swapping out the module and punching a hole in the base of the dizzy to slip the wires through.this might also help the running rich problem as well.not enough timing will make an engine appear to run rich.
For sure hometown...it's reading 108 anywhere near idle. Once the rpms start going upstairs it sometimes gets a little better. I have tried a couple of times slamming the throttle down and it gets near 121 on the dash window. However, I just realized I am not at WOT, I just checked it because the tps never went past 76(at least the times I checked) and sure enough, with the throttle pressed all the way down, there is still a bit left on the butterflies to open. Does the tps measure that?
The infamous 14.7:1
I gotta do a little more searching on that one. Not quite sure where to find that one or how it corresponds to the BLM readings...

I'm a little familiar witht the V6 typhoon. Fast truck man. I understood a little about some of the stuff you mentioned. I'll do some searching on the rest. I want to supercharge it, but now it sounds like a supa long journey...but one I AM WILLING TO WALK and I'm sure sometimes crawl....I just printed out this page for refrences. Thanks hometown.
Timing control in the ECM-I think my spark advance is run by the "can" on the distributor. Is that the same deal? Lots to learn man, lots to learn.
Never ran a bin and the like. I'm way too new to this game for that. I'm taking those steps though. I might meet up with some folk here in Souther Cali for Tuning 101...Muchas Gracias amigos!
ps...I'm still debating whether to go roots type or centerfugal(sp)...Roots and the like seems to sound better now. But finding a compact one that will allow the running of the TBI will tough? I have been told about the M90 (GM factory blower) or something like that. But I can't seem to see where the TBI will sit.

my thoughts are varied on this. id think a turbo would be better as it doesnt rob fuel economy when not in use. but theres always lag. i like the smaller centrifigul superchargers becuase of the compact mounting. as for the can on the side of the dizzy thats vacum advance. i would say toss the vac can and lock out the advance put the large cap electronic dizzy module in it and run the timing via the ecm. also getting a chip from a 4.3 might improve your situation. and you running fairly rich all over the place. i need a copy of the biary to go with the logs you emailed me so i can help you.
How do I data log the biary? I'm not sure what that is...Turbo sounds cool too (is there any extra plumbing for the oil and coolant for a turbo? With a powerdyne centerfugal, it's almost plug and play??), but I just like the way the centerfugal's look on an engine. The only problem I see is where to mount it.
It won't happend anytime soon that's for sure, but I am researching it so when the time comes it's on.
As for the can, I wonder why Howell didn't hook me up without the can. I'll do a search on that one.
Later Hometown....

I just used Microsoft Excel from Microsoft Office X and the data looked a whole lot more readable and better organization....The only thing is, this brouse button does not support the .xls (file ending) that Microsoft Excel saved as...
I don't have Excel on my PC...only on my Mac OSX. I'm oughta ideas, so thanks anyway...
