What would be the best starting point?

I am getting ready to drop in a ZZ4 and T-56 in my B4C.
I also am putting a SuperRam on the motor and the Edelbrock 1 5/8 headers, not sure about the injectors yet, I am thinking about getting SVO 24-lb injectors.
The car was originally a 305 5 Speed car and I am wondering should I start with the 305 bin and mod that or should I go with the 350 bin as the starting point?

Sitting here with nothing to do and was looking at the 305 bin thinking about this.

Thanks

I would definetly start with a 350 memcal and the AUJP.bin file for a good starting point.
You must also install a Knock sensor for a 350, the Knock sensors and Memcal are set up diferently in the memcals for the 305 & 350.

Hi Louis.

Yeah I have the 350 knock sensor and memcal, the bad thing is I had put in a new knock sensor (305) right before I took the motor out and found that the block was cracked.
If anyone needs a 305 KS that is brand new let me know, it’s an AC Delco.

Is their anything I need to change for the manual in the AUJP.bin besides turning off the TC lock up?

I know that I will need to tune the VE and the timing for the vette heads, but am not sure what all needs to be looked at for the manual trans.

Start with a manual tranny bin. AXXC is a '91 f-body 5 speed bin. You are better off with a 5.0 manual bin then a 5.7 auto bin. Can also start with AXCN, that is a 5.7 Y body 6spd bin.

I forgot yours was a manual instead of a auto.
Like RBob said its better to go with a manual 5.7 .bin, it makes it easyer to get the Idle stuff done with the manual .bin.

Were can I find the AXCN bin? Will that really work in the 730 computer and with tuner cat.

Thanks for the info RBob & Louis.

That's what I was think, that the manual bin would be a better starting point..

It is an $8D mask, so you are good to go. There will be a couple of items to set/reset as the Vette is a little different then the f-body (disable oil temp diag, maybe fan hi/lo settings).

Can be found in the gmecm.org bin library:

ftp://ftp.diy-efi.org/pub/gmecm/bin_lib/
