Does anyone have a ecu file for $OD
and a bin would be great!
Its for a 94 suburban 350, TBI, 4L60-E tranny. A friend of mine wants to get rid of the 99 mph speed limiter in it.
I searched the diy-efi.org FTP site and came up empty.
Thanks
Kat

Isn't that a PCM? Do you have software and cable to re-flash it? If not, you may want to check out TunerCat. TunerCat's $0D TDF has a ton of things you can change besides the speed limiter. You can even do changes to the transmission.

Location 4961 in the eprom is the speed limiter and it's a simple convert from hex to decimal and that's your mph. It's an 8-bit value, the resume speed is at location 4962. Just make sure that's lower than what's in 4961 or you'll hit the limiter and coast to a stop.
The engine speed limiter is at location 495D and I believe that is in value * 25 = RPM, it should be 8 bit as well. I don't know where the resume rpm is but I'll put money on it being 495E, just a shot in the dark though.
I'd still just get the TDF file from Tunercat, it's got a LOT of things you can do with the trans shifting which makes it extra "wow."
