need some of the knowledgable 165 ECM guys.

I want to richen out my fuel map vs. load. Is there a table that does this? I assume there must because timing is also controlled via LV8 Load.

I found this table:

Acceleration Enrichment Factor vs. Change LV8

I want to richen out my higher LV8 load levels and lean out my lower ones...

Thanks,

You want to look for the MAF tables.
The calibration of the MAF sets how much fuel is delivered via airflow.

Yeah I realize that...but what about via LV8 Load? Is there no way to do that?

LV8 is a load calculation, it's air flow at a given RPM.

And for some reason GM likes doing the basic MAF fueling just as a function of Air Flow. It, IMO, would make for a better system if it was done on a LV8 style of table. But it saves alot of code, and prosessor time doing it the way they do.

OK I will look at them but what does the Acceleration Enrichment Factor vs. Change LV8 do? What exactly is Acceleration Enrichment? Is it a step before Power Enrichment to help with part throttle response and power?

Pump shot. Splashes extra fuel in to the combustion process as the pedal goes south under an abrupt condition.

It's pump shot as a function of an increase in air flow.
Used in conjuction with AE vs Delta TPS, which is pump shot as a function of pedal movement.

It's independent of PE.
PE has a number of parameters that must be meet before it can apply. Generally it is resevered for very high loads, whereas AE is for most any rpm increase.

Thanks guys...no I understand it exactly...just wanted to make sure I got the right tables when tuning.

On a side note I just went out for a drive this evening and I got my BLMs in the 124-132 range almost everywhere...

I also tried a WOT run and the timing table I setup 28.5-30.5 degrees total came in exactly the way I wanted it to. 28.5 degrees by 3200 and slowly creeping up to 30.5@4800.

I was running the ARAP timing tables but I reverted back to my L98 and just played with the 192+ LV8 load for WOT. I will start playing around with the part throttle stuff as well...noticed I was only getting around 35 at light cruising....would like to get that over 40.

I got to tell you, burning your own proms is great. It's really helped to understand FI and is allowing me to setup my car to it's exact needs!!! Kudos to you guys for introducing me to this:hail:

I've been staring at the LV8 fields for a while now and can't figure out what to make of it. The only LV8 field that I see in the $6E field that doesn't relate to coolant temp is the LV8 accel. enrich. factor vs. delta LV8. I get 5 whole numbers to modify. If these LV8 counts represent increased airflow, then if I'm going pig rich on application of throttle, I should be backing off on the multiplier, correct?
