VINs for scanning
If anyone with 1227730, or 1227165, 1227747 ecm'd cars would post their VINs that would be appreciated.
BUT, NOT THE LAST 6 DIGITS, that just keeps everyone honest with what they can do with it.
Meaning the different MASKs by VIN.
So I'm looking at 85, 86-88, 89, 90, 91-92 cars and both V6 and V8 versions.
I've had to go back to using Diacom on some of the ecm bench stuff and need to enter some corresponding VINs to scan the different .bins.
If you want to send them via email, that's fine too.
TIA

For the '747 I use an '89 MY and VIN K, truck (scan tool doesn't ask for whole VIN, that's all I have).
For a '730 running $88 try: 1G1FP23T0NLxxxxxx. That's a VIN T '92 MY.

I happened to be searching through ebay for misc stuff, I noticed alot of cars that were for sale had VIN's posted. You might be able to use those base VIN's to scan. Its public domain on ebay, don't think it would be a problem? I dunno You could search for specific types of vehicles, to pinpoint a mask....
Grumpy,
I am in the same boat. help out some other folks. load thier vins then forget my 7730 vin.
If you have a saved logged file. Just load the saved logged file for the particular ECM. then you can log. Bad part when you restart diacom you have to reload the log file each time for the particular type of vehical you are logging.
Thanks for this post . I will load a 7730 vin.

I've spent the better part of 3 days on and off trying to link diacom to an ecm bench project.
Turns out there were a number of different ALDL strings used, so I wound up going thru eBray and Autotrader until I got a sample of each vin possible. Then one by one went thru and found the one I needed.
Which I'd remembered this 2 days ago..........
