datamaster runs

This is data from a miniram'd 383 SD/6-speed/dana44. The computer was way off with the custom hyperjunk(aujp base). The attached image is from a half assed tune I did using the hypertech as a base. The data has an error of about 2/10ths a sec. Both runs was with my fat *** in it also. So the car weighed about 3700lbs, easy.He ran a 12.3 @113-114 at GIR with that tune.

The second run is with the axcn as a base. I reworked the ve tables, timing,PE and AE. The ecm is still not totally matched though. I was working with little time.We can't get any track results cause the tracks are closed .

What T56/clutch are you backing that up with? It's taking a lot of power! Any dyno numbers?

it's a stock 93 t-56 and a ram clutch. My friend replaced the clutch like twice this year.Ram said he's lucky to get 100 passes at the strip. He got more than that though. I am going with him to the dyno very soon. When I first met him, he just pulled the entire drivetrain out of his 87 iroc (maf). With the maf ecm he dyno'd 370rwhp and 410rwtq. He put it into a 92 z28 with SD and a custom hypertech. That is the car with the runs posted. With the hypertech and SD he got 325 rwhp and 360rwtq. I'll let you know what the car does when it goes back to the dyno.

I can email you the runs and the histogram, if you like. I used the axcn as a base for the car. You can see the improvements through the logs. The only thing is that the axcn has like 45* timing at part throttle. I could hear slight spark knock when he would lightly push the gas pedal. So I brought the part throttle timing closer to the aujp. It fixed the light detonation. It's funny cause the knock sensor couldn't even pick it up. Back in the day there was no knock sensor(on most or all autos). I can catch detonation way better that that stupid KS.

THe car was transformed. You can even hear a difference in the exhaust note. I can't believe that people still use hypertech crap. Even TPIS seems to be ripping people off with their "custom chip". They charge what $650? That's a little high for them to take stabs in the dark. The only way to make a custom chip is to log data and use that to make changes. Thanks to you guys here, I can tune out an ecm.

Hi 11sORbust,
It looks a solid tune.
I am a newbie and I need to learn a lot. I have a request for you.
Would you please send me the Data Master file (uni) so that I can see how the behavior of the car and in particular I can use it to learn and apply this information my car tuning.
Best regards,
Cobra289

I don't think you'll be able to look at the bin and gain much insight. Really it was just applying what I have learned. I can help you out though. If you send me a few logs of your car I can point out some stuff . What kind of log software do you have?
