Flash & Burn?
Does Moate's Flash & Burn chip programmer program 2732a chips, as well as the 29c128's etc... ?

it will read 27 series chips but not program them (except the 27SF512, it reads and programs them).
it will read and program 29C128-29F040.

Hmm... that's not bad... might be quicker/easier to just get a burner that does 2732's as well! Any recommendations?

PP2, $179. www.xtronics.com. + UV eraser (around $30)
Or, FnB + G2 for $110. www.moates.net, which gets you away from the UV erase-only 2732As and gets you into the 29C256/27SF512 flash world (which is infinately easier)!
I have both, and both are perfect with excellent support (Moates is a good dude). In a budget situation, the FnB may be a better choice. If you plan on burning chips outside of DIY EFI prom burning, you may want the PP2.
I only burn chips for my ECM, so with the AutoProm/FnB in my posession, I haven't touched my PP2 in about 3 months.

Hey, I sent you a PM! I think I'm sold on the FnB, lol... the G2 will work with my 2.8 MAF 302a, yes? (Should... the 2732 daughtercards all seem the same) so I'd just burn out my bin starting @ address $7000, for the ecm.. ?

check with moates to see if it will work with your ECM (he'll probably chime in here at any time).
What ECM are you running?

interesting... new application potentially. again, you'll have to ask moates. you'll probably need to measure your pin spacing to determine which you'll need, and maybe even provide him with a picture of the inside of the ECM.
its likely it can be done though.

Ya, it should work fine. If you had a 2732A previously, the G2 with a 29C256 or 27SF512 is a drop-in replacement. Takes a little solder work, but not too bad really.
