Going from 305 to 350tbi

Hey all. Currently my car is running an roller 305 in a 91 camaro and I have built a 383 non roller to put in. Where do I start for the chip burning process? Should I get a chip out of a 87-90 truck or something?

Any help appreciated. Thanks guys.

Check out all the stickies at the top of the board, there's a ton of info there. Read it, and when you're done reading read it all again. Alot of info, but it's all necessary and very important

When you're done with that and have any specific q's, I know the guys here were very helpful, friendly, and patient with me. I'm sure they'll do the same for you

Good luck

No stock chip will work with the 383. If you were putting in a stock 350 that GM has a calibrated chip for then dropping that chip in would work.

Best bet is to learn how to do your own tuning and chips. It really won't matter which chip you start with, a lot of changes are going to be required.

Thanks

I have a laptop too. So that should work out good. How long have you been programing chips for? How hard is it to get the basics down?

Thanks man

I have personally been doing it for about 1.5 months. I have the basics down ok, but I still have a ton to learn.

Everyone is different tho, you just gotta jump in and see how you do

Is there any Bin reading and editing software that is better than others? I just downloaded winbin to start messing with it and it does not seem to bad. Just wondering what is working for you guys.

Thanks
