8746 question

Hi,
I would like to know if someone would have a idea why my TBI runs good with the 747, but when trying a 8746 ecm, it just won't start. I wired the MAT sensor so it's even there when using the 747. I think the signal to the pins are just about the same between both ecm.

Is there any 5L manual 8746 bins that would exist, just was not able to find any. Is there a website that existso I can check all BCC for different ECM.

perhaps you need to disable the VATS... i'm pretty sure some 8746's have the anti-theft flag, and that would make it not start, if i understand all this stuff... :lala:

What ecu do you have? If it's the one I put together then where did you get it? There is a bad copy floating around that has incorrect VE table representation. It does however have VATS commented in the options flags. Just open the "comments" and then open the different options and there is a description of which is VATS.
If you don't have my ecu then I can't help.

JPrevost, I went in and made the corrections to the $61 ECU that you recommended, but it made my engine run like crap. Is it possible that I actually got a good copy of the ECU to begin with? I got a great tune going on this engine. I don't want to have to do it all again. Maybe you could run through the ECU corrections again for good measure. Please????

In the 8746 stuff, all you have to do is uncheck a flag that enables/disables VATS. I still haven't fooled with the VATS freq and probably won't unless I decide to get a VATS module and a VATS lock cylinder.

Maybe it was right. Send me your latest bin and I'll check it with both versions to see where you need to go from here. I'll send you the latest ecu file if you need it.
