$58 code help, trouble after swap

Hi..

Did the 8D-$58 code swap today and didnt get the result I expected....

I used tunercat to modify bin and TTS to scan and I got really wierd results...

1. BLM not enabled? BLM is locked at 128 all the time why?
2. Idle is 1250rpm no matter what I set it to in the PROM
3. SA is much lower than it should be it shows 24 deg when it should be close to 38 acccording to *bin....I've set base timing to 6deg in *.bin
4. I've noticed that EST bypass is enabled in TTS.......

Really need help here.........

Hmm, try this

http://hem.passagen.se/pau324/mods/

I've added *.txt to see if that helps.............

I've looked at the logs some more and the SA is way off, doesnt increase with rpm and so on.......

Do I have to change something to run a 16kB in my romulator(xtronics) to get it to work correct?

Got it running, I just removed to 10k from ALDL cable

Have some other questions!

1. My BLM is switching between learn and not, why? cant find any reason............
2. Spark is 24 deg according to TTS but I have 32 in my bin, what is correct? 24/6cyl*8cyl=32 coinsidence or?

log is at http://hem.passagen.se/pau324/mods/ test7.uni.txt

1. My BLM is switching between learn and not, why? cant find any reason............
It appears this happens whenever the RPM exceeds 1000. There's a calibration at $37A that specifies the maximum RPM for BLM enable when the throttle is closed. Your desired idle RPM (900) is very close to that maximum (1000). Whenever the value gets a little too high, the BLM disables. Try bumping up the calibration value (or reducing your idle RPM) to see if this helps.

2. Spark is 24 deg according to TTS but I have 32 in my bin, what is correct? 24/6cyl*8cyl=32 coinsidence or?
Although I don't have an answer, I don't think the problem is due to the cylinder selection. When the throttle is closed, the ECM will force the use of the 600 RPM column of the main spark table. From there, it simply interpolates the spark values in the MAP columns. ASSuming the .bin file in the directory you listed is the one you're using, it appears you do have ~32deg in the ~60kPa columns. Does the spark advance match up when you have the throttle open? I wonder if there's a consistent offset to all your spark advance values. Or, whether this is only present during closed throttle conditions.....?

Yes I'm using similar bin to that, just changed the closed VE table to get better BLM's......

I will check the 37A location and change it if needed, thx!

I havent scanned open throttle yet......the car goes really lean as soon as I touch the throttle, will try to add AE vs TPS and give it more fuel and then scan open throttle conditions tonight......

Could it be that the EST being disable for some reason?

I have looked through the bin and cant find any offset of 8deg that should be used....

UPDATE: 8 deg is subtracted all the time from main SA table.

UPDATE2: TTS shows only what the ECM is adding so in my case 24deg in TTS is 24deg+Initialtiming of 6 deg. The other 2 deg came from Boost SA vs MAT table, takes out 1.8deg at 0 psi boost....
