While a scan is running every time I press down the break peddle I lose data connection. When I release the peddle it will re-connect and start collecting data again.


Here is my setup:

Car: 91 Z28 LB9.
Software: DataMaster 8D.

I made a 2 transistor ALDL cable. Based on the Simple ALDL to PC interface schematic in this post.

I have the Ground connected to port A, Data to port M and 12vdc to port F. I have the common ground connected to the chassis.

Note: I have also changed it to get 12vdc from the cigarette lighter. And I have the same problem.


Has anyone seen this before or have a idea of what I could check next?
