which flash prom to buy?
First off I am running a 730 ECM.
I just ordered the pocket programmer and am looking for some proms for it and I am wanting to get the AT29C256 EEPROM so I don't have to buy a UV eraser.
My search on digikey yielded 4 different kinds of AT29C256, so which one do I need?
AT29C256-70TC-ND
AT29C256-70JI-ND
AT29C256-70JC-ND
AT29C256-70TI-ND

The P being the plastic 28-DIP, the I being industrial temperature range. With a 70nsec part in a '730 the C (commercial) temperature range, I'd bet is also good to use. I didn't look at the link to moates that Mangus provided. It may be the way to go.
The T and J are different packages, J = PLCC and T = TSOP, both surface mount.

Yes, they're C-rated. The I was always problematic in terms of availability more than price really. And you're right, at these speeds, they'll work fine outside their normal temperature ranges. The cold temperatures basically slow them down just a little.
