Which winALDL Table to use to calc. BLMs?

Datalogged for 30 minutes today using winALDL.

I am curious to know which table should I use to calculate my BLMs?

The engine is a TBI Vortec 350 with mild cam, stock compression, Headers, no cats, etc.

Right now the tuning is way off.

Can you use the wide or narrow correction factor tables to save some keystrokes?

Which table would be best to use?

Thanks for helping a newbe out.

Use the wide average table.

yep, what az said is right. I never had much luck with the narrow correction, it just weeded out too much data. I did up an excell file that I input my blm and old VE tables into and it spit out a new VE table based on that data. It worked pretty good.

10-4

Wide average table.

That is exactly what I needed to know.

Looks like the wide average takes more samples.

I'll have to look into the Excell spreadsheet program.

Thanks for the Info.

I third wide average. That gives you a comprimised tune under a variety of conditions.

I use the wide for the first couple to get them close.
then I log for about a week of back and forth to work and use the narrow.

Not sure what ECM your running but i have found the aldltobin program works good for the changes. it takes your old bin and applys the table you specify Wide or Narrow then spits out your new bin with the changes already made.

Then I just go in and manually smooth the tables.
there is also a smoother program out there that will do it for you.

I run the 7747.

Don't forget to look at the number of samples - I disregard anything at 1.

I have a spreadsheet that I have developed similar to others that I use with TunerCat. I can send it to you if you want.

Like elkabong and BMmonteSS, I have a excel sheet for my ve table and I also use wide average. However my wide kept coming up with 110-116 blm for the low map and low rpm so I kept taking fuel out. Eventually the cold idle sucked and the hot was alright, but now its back to near stock in those cells, until I can figure out the a/f on warmup.

What program would that be? I can't even find anywhere to download the original ALDLtoBin program that Prevost modified.
