i use TunerPro RT for all my burning & 99% of my data logging, it works great.
this should fix you up on USB ports.

Craig has a lot of good stuff & has no problem with answering questions.
are you wanting to be able to do real time emulation too? if so i would recommend the AutoProm as it does emulation, data logging & burning all in 1 package & comes it with a TunerPro license.

Only this is I cannot emulate....
But everything else worked great once I figured out how to get the COM ports setup.
Whenever I tried to emulate the car would stumble and act as if it was running in limp-home mode.
It is so easy to reburn a chip that I didn't even worry about it....I just made the changes in the BIN and burned it onto the chip.
One of these days I'll find out what I'm doing wrong with the emulation....

When using TunerproRT and the $8D mask, you will need to get a copy of the Super8_dm2.ecu file. I started a manual for this, but most of it is greek to me, so it is far from complete. I as I have the need I research and update the different items. There is a lot of good information on the tables. Here is a link to what I have so far: http://www.edgesz28.com/edgesZ28/sup.../super8ecu.htm
I never tried emulating, so I can't help you there. Good luck, Ed www.edgesz28.com

Edges, thats a great article on the Super_8dm2 ECU
on the way you did VSS on your suburban. i have a trans from a pickup in my car & i didn't want to mess around with gears, so i stayed with the hi-def speed sensor. i did use a buffer from
about a 92 pickup & worked with the jumpers in it to get it as close as i could.
its been awhile back, but it seems like i had to run a wire from the buffer output to a different terminal on the ECM to get a signal that was close enough for TCC to work right. i do remember making a change to the bin in flags, it was unchecking one of the MAG speed sensor flags.
about 6 months ago in preparation to try & do away with the truck buffer, i split the VSS signal from the sensor to go to both the buffer & ECM, rechecked the flag & i started playing with the VSS setting in constants in super8, i got the ECM to read about 2 miles per hour faster than my speedometer which is about 1~2 miles per hour slow at 60 MPH. i plan on pulling the truck speed buffer out sometime this week & using the output from the ECM for cruise & speedometer.
