Prominator Group Buy
This is only a poll.
If there's enough interest we might go this direction. No promises. Post in here if you are interested; we will give a discount of course (that's the whole purpose of a group buy anyway) but I need to see how many people are actually interested. The discount amount will depend on how many people are interested. If you have already placed an order prior to us shutting operations down please post that you placed an order but are waiting for it.
If you plan to possibly buy a Prominator in less than 2 months, please post here.
I have also posted this on the CrossFire forum, so there will be additional people other than here.

Ken, put em up on the table. Don't be afraid to buy the parts for this thing. If it's available, people will buy it.
I will GUARANTEE that if you just ante up and pay for materials to get this thing available with reasonable economy of scale at like 100 pcs worth, they'll sell out within 6 months.
Seriously, it's a good product. Don't be afraid of it.

I've been looking at the Prominator for some time but the ordering page with price info went down.
I do understand a group purchase could vary the price depending on number of positive responses, but please refresh my memory, what price range are we looking at?
If I get one, I'll want the version where I can switch on the fly.
While this is not a definite "YES", it is (depending on price range) an "I'm Pretty Sure".

The Pro version (which is the "switch on the fly" version you're referring to) is $275. Of course, there will be a discount if it's a group buy.
I've been planning to buy a Prominator ever since they started shipping but something always crops up and takes my "play" money. Just about the time I saved up for a Prominator, they quit shipping...
If they come availible again I will do everything I can to get the money together to get one!

We're trying to get this built through an assembly house so Bill has some free time to work on the SpeedReader. Supreme Member

Count me in. I've been hoping to buy for a couple weeks, but Bill's been too busy (not blaming him, just stating fact).
You probably want to post this over on CorvetteForum.com and CorvetteActionCenter.com; a number of people there have been interested in getting one. Or I can post it there if you'd prefer.

I will definitely buy one, plus one of the Moates 4-positon rotary dip switches. I've been trying for months to buy one, but Bill said they wouldn't be taking orders until late August.
Craig Moates - if Bill and Ken are leary about manufacturing more Prominators, why don't you guys work out a deal and you build the Prominators. They could be marketed on both the Speedtronix and Moates web sites. I think there's a lot guys out there wanting his product.
