$32B to $6E

I'll be getting PROM burning equipment around Christmas time, and one of the first things I want to do is get rid of the cold start valve. I'll be dowloading the BIN from an custom Fastchip, and altering it. How exactly could I convert the information on this chip into a $6E on a new blank EPROM? Must I purchase a $32B defenition file to read the Fastchip BIN correctly, and then purchase a $6E defenition file from TunerCat to manual transfer the $32B info to the new $6E EPROM? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You don't convert a bin over to the new 89 code...you must get a 89 bin and burn a chip with that new code...Basically, find a 89 bin you want to use...burn a chip, plug it in...you're good to go. You have to disable VATS in the new bin...that's the only mod you have to make. If you want to use a downloaded bin from a earlier year...I think you'll have to modify the new 89 one a table at a time.

I do things like that all the time, but it does take alot of time, and one key stroke wrong makes a mess.
I'd get a virgin 6E proper memcal, and start with that and then start looking at areas the you think might hold the solution. Kinda a more advanced way of doing things, and really can be time intensive.
Might be easy for you, but is a last resort for me..

Well, I guess having to go through every bit of information is a good thing, allowing me to pay attention to every little bit of code, and I might find something that looks out of wack. Eh, it's the winter time, so sitting at my laptop doing this won't be too bad. Thanks for the help guys!
