$6E for an '88, won't start
ok guys I burned a $6E bin file onto a chip for my '88 Camaro, and I removed the plug that goes to the 9th cold start injector. Also I set the buffer for start and end burn for my chip using the guidlines set out HERE
car won't start. key on and the fuel pump goes on, and stays on (with stock chip it would go on for a few seconds and stop)
is there anything else I need to do to disable the 9th injector, or do I have the chip installed backwards or something.. I'm using a moates adapter with a zif socket, 27SF512 chips, and a pocket programmer 2 w/tunercat.
any help would be great, thanks!

Can you connect to it via ALDL? I'm betting now. I've had my fuel pump stay on like that when I burned (or uploaded) a bad bin. Double check that you've burned things correctly, have everything installed correctly, etc.

Try flashing a different chip. Also make double sure you have the chip installed correctly, and you HAVE NOT bent any pins installing it the socket.
I have been using $6E bins based on the ARAP, in my 88 IROC 350, for long time with no problems. I use the AT29C256 chip, however.
The cold start injector thing is the least of your worries.

I believe my problem is correctly loading the bin using the buffer. I erase the chip using the pocket progammer 2 software, then move it into the buffer to read, and it is full of FF 's. That is wrong, is it not?
I've set the Start of Buffer = 0000, Start of Device=C000 and End of Device=FFFF...
hum, stupid buffer!

Are you using 27SF512 chips? You do realise that to program 27SF512 chips you need Pocket Programmer 2 (hardware) to burn them. Otherwise the chip contents are garbage as I have found out.
That's why I like AT29C256 and I put Craig onto someone that might have them in stock as they are discontinued. Hopefully he can get them.
But other then that you are doing it right set buffer offsets, load buffer with saved BIN file and burn.
