730 connector layout (looking at the ECM with plugs removed)
Ignore the colors, they are from my setup.

Oh well, I tried
If you look real closely inside the connector they are usually marked.
Hard to see but should be some indications molded into them.

Its best to do it in stages.Draw yourself a diagram of each set of connectors.Start with the 165 and mark everything as it is on the 165 (including colors)Then draw the 730 with everything where tit needs to be, then the 727.then do a "goto" listing under each label of the 165 diagram.that will give you that conversion, then do the goto diagram from the 730 to the 727.THEN go back and look for shortcuts to remove the center process.Any other sequence will leave questions and confusion.Don't even attremp to do this by a list of "this goes there" type of thing.Somewhere in the middle a wire will not be able to be run where you need it and you'll start to improvise. That where the trouble will begin.Knowing what color wire you have "extra" for running those kinds of things will allow you to fully document the diagram for next year when you need to add/troubleshoot something. Note very carefully where you connect grounds and power together and the end connection points so they can be located in the future.A good solid plan will get you there sucessfully.
