Rbob is a stand up guy and the add on board for your stock ECM is probably one of the neatest things to come down the DIY prom pipe since the emulator.

I would send him a blank check and trust him well enough to fill it out for the proper amount.

On a side note, I must say that "TECH SUPPORT" after purchase is GREAT as well. RBob has always been quick to help with whatever he can when a problem does pop-up. Trust me, with all the choices available you will have some questions.

I'm fishing for info on DFI as well- have a look, nothing but good news about this guy- good emails as well. I want this thing to run on a wide band. Two questions 1/ I am one of the few that on top of lean cruise want to keep the EGR operational too for emissions but also for mileage- apparantly this programming is to be addressed in the 'near future'. 2/ the 7747- moded or not was meant for TBI and I have been told that its the dumbest bot of the bunch, and the fact that it fires the injectors twice as many times as a TPI computer- how can this be good? or is the advanced fueling tables making up for the original programing. Please don't technogarble me because unfortuneatley although I have a good general idea whats going on I have to pay for my programming By the way, this is on a 1989 Chev 4x4 with a vortec based engine Edelbrock Hiflow base and runners which started a couple years ago with Edelbrocks TBI to MPI conversion kit but the chip was so bad that I had Westers tune it up- but still never ran to my expectations. Was considering Megasquirt piggyback among others because I think running an LC1 will pay for itself, cost is a factor but with some of our local talent it may be easier to tune by laptop and hands on instead of doing what I have been doing with chip burning over long distance.

TBI's use a wet manifold, basically like the carb manifolds do. With them you need to keep the manifold slightly wet, hence the name. Firing the injectors more often (for ~1/2 as long), helps in that reguard. Not to mention you have *another* inj pulse immediately (2x as quickly) for additonal fueling, when needed.

This is the *short answer*.
