Using $32B instead of $32
I extracted the info from my TPIS prom and Tunercat says this:
The selected ECM Definition File is either not compatible with this source or the source file has been modified. The source file indicates that the $32 ECM Definition File should be used. Proceed Anyway?
TPIS used the $32 b/c my car's an 86. I have access to a $32B definition and it seems to read the file with no errors but is what I'm seeing correct? I mean, if I use the $32B as oppossed to the $32, is that going to show me incorrect data? I don't have the $32 b/c I bought the $6E instead but I would like to know what TPIS did for comparisons.

$32 is for 86 tpi,$32b is for 87-88 maf.I hope that clears it up for you.Did you try that bin I gave you. That tpis chip is junk.Did you drive around with that tpis chip? There is stock bins on the net if you want a fresh start.Tpis used an $32B cal because its better than the 86 $32.I think the $32B is better than the 89 def. That 9th injector helps on big cid motors.

Yeah, I know the $32 was for 86 and $32B for 87-88. I was just wondering if by using one over the other if the data shown would still be accurate. I didn't try that bin you sent yet. Not that I don't think you're tyring to help but without diagnostics I have to be very careful. I dl'd a bin that claims it's for a ZZ4 setup like mine but even there I would rather use it as a guide, not as a burn it, run it, and do no work type thing. When I get more proms which should be soon I'll burn your bin. Seems that most prefer the $6E over the $32B but I'll experiment with both if I ever get my car to link to Craig's software. Until then I'm too scared to really drive on any prom I burn.
Not only did I drive with the TPIS prom, it's the one I use for now. It's not so good I know. Right from the start I had problems with it, stalling, check engine lights, weird idle, etc. I changed some things on the car so it's better now but still far from good. One question I have is that they set my injector constant to 23.0 but sold me 19lb. injectors. Could they have did something to make that sort of work or am I better off changing then constant to 19.3? Wouldn't having it set at 23.0 make it run leaner?

Did you buy SVO injectors? That would almost explain why its so high. You can work around the VE/LV8 values to make whatever injector size you specify "work". Well to an extent of course..

Do you have a scan tool? What are your blm and int.If you don't have a scan tool then I would erase that bin,it will mess your motor up.My exp with chips are if it ever threw code"s" the its way off.Or gives you any major problems the junk it.That bin I gave you is very safe,& close to stock 350 timing. The fuel is just bumped up some.Minor things here and there.Erase yours and burn mine. Then check it w/ a scan tool.I bet you will be amazed. That bin you have should be called grenade.bin.

My injectors are stock 19lb units b/c that's what TPIS said would be better. I'm ready to scrap that and buy new, bigger ones. Which ones and what # I don't know yet.
Formula5 I'll try your bin out, guess it can't be worse then what I have now. I've been using my TPIS prom for awhile already b/c it was all I had. I have no scan tool or anything which is a big problem. Once I find out how to get Craig's software linked up I'll be in much better shape. No luck yet but still trying.
