TunerPro RT and Vista

Has anyone gotten TunerPro RT to work with MS Vista? My buddy just bought a new laptop because his last one died. The only OS these days seems to be Vista. I am asking before I blow it a way and install XP.

Re: TunerPro RT and Vista

I am running tunerpro and Vista and it works fine. The only thing that won't work is the help section. Vista doesn't recognize the file.

I was able to get it to work by playing with the compatability modes.

Right click on your TunerproRT icon and select properties. Select the "compatibility" tab and then check the box where it says "run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP SP2. You should be able to access your helpfiles in compatibility mode then, as well as eliminate a couple of other minor Vista caused glitches I ran into.

TunerPro itself works fine on Vista. I'll check into the help file issue.

LOL.......

Well, I wouldn't go quite THAT far with the comment, but it most definitely does have some "issues". Some things just baffle me. Like, why move the add/remove software from the control panel?? OK, not a big deal, but WHY? Why not just make it recognize the old style helpfiles? That's not that hard. Well, yes, I DO know why, to force people that sell software to migrate TO the new help files, but really........

I don't even remember what else I saw in TunerproRT that was a little off in Vista. I know it was nothing critical, but when I ran it in compatibility mode everything worked fine.
