Proper Bin/Ads/Xdf file for 86 Y/F, $32, 165 ECM
I've used Joby's WinALDL and I am able to get a connection but decided to give TunerPro a try.
I used (downloaded from the tuner pro website) :
32.ecu "imported" as the bin file
32.ecu "imported from ECU" as the XDF file
1227165_160baud.ads as the ads file
I can't get TunerPro to using the same laptop/cable.
I'm thinking it is a problem with my files not matching up correctly. I also notice that the ads file isn't specified for my $32 chip but according to my search, it seemed like it should be compatible.
The car/computer is 86 Y body 4+3 M/T, should be identical to the F body of 86. It does have an after market chip from Tom Wong, but unless he made a change in the code no hard parts have been changed.
I have verified that pins A, B, and E are communicating properly using a multimeter.
I've got a bad vibe going which I think is related to a bad harmonic balancer but I'd like to see what the knock sensor sees when it gets to that RPM.
Also, it goes from the "connection box" being red and not connect to blue and "connected" but I see no flags, dash is all 0's, no data anywhere (nor when I export the files, they just have the headings and are blank with no sensor input.)
Thanks for the help, I'm thinking I might be
