Tunerpro V5 update

everytime i open the new V5 it gives me a error message about I0.SYS.login, or something. Also cannot get the new V5 to notice my cable. This is with the 5143 version. Tried to update to the new 5150 version but i click yes to download and then nothing happens and i can't close tuner pro. please help thanks.

well i simply uninstalled the older version and reinstalled the new one and now it works but still won't initiate my cable.

If you're trying to "initiate" the ALDL cable, that won't work. The "initiate attached hardware" is for emulation devices not datalogging cables.

To use the datalogging cable, you need to set that up in preferences, com port, type of cable, etc.

yeah i just figured that out...I also read that i need to load an ADX file before i can read the ECM. is that right?

well problem solved i logged for the first time today. thanks for the help. I'll post a new thread on my new log next my O2 counts are all over the place.

I can't find the com port setting in V5, Its not under tools/Preferences like it was in V4.14, or am I just blind?

yes it;s under tools>preferences. Then click the data acquisition tab then click the plug-in device button.

That worked perfect

When I exit out of the program and it asks me to save the Bin, XDF and ADX files, I always just save the bin. Should I be saving the XDF and ADX also? Am I changing something in those when I make changes to the bin?

as far as i know the ADX and XDF shouldn't change. But i am just starting to learn this stuff too.
