He guys,I replaced my heater core yesterday(in under 2 hours too).During this operation I pulled my ECU down to have more room.I also found a plastic black box with AC written on it.It has several wires going into it.Does anyone know what it is?

I would also like to know what this is, I noticed it on my car when doing my heater core last year around this time. It is more towards the passenger compartment than the ECM is right? (right under the dash pouch)

I have heard that GM has been putting black boxes on cars like on planes for 15 years or somthing. I seriously doubt that this is what you have, but has anyone else heard of this? And if their is one why dont they use them in crash investigations. But hey this is probably some corprate conspiracy theory or some crap like that. But who knows????
Mabey the government monitors what we do through our cars. But that is just somthing to think about.

lefty: How on earth did you choose a thread thats 15 years old, and irrelevant to your question, to add onto for your first post?


BTW, the answer to your question is - there are 3 wires on the sending unit. One is black, one is grey, and I'm not sure what color the other one is (purple maybe?), but that's the one for you sending unit.
