Easiest way: order the plug-in harness for your application. Approx, $25., but well worth it for the plug and play ability. Installed my 6AL in about 30 minutes, most of which was taken up by deciding where to install it.

Also makes it easy to bypass the 6AL for troubleshooting or setting timing (the multiple sparks messes with my inductive timing light).

For my setup i am going with the 6al with the blaster 2 coil, which is the coil you will probally get. You will need a coil that works with the MSD box. Call up Jeggs or Summit since they have about the same pricing and they can help you out. That plug-in kit is a real good idea. They will sell them, i've already asked Summit! They are fairly cheap too, well worth the $25 bucks or whatever it may be for what could be hours of your time, good luck. I am also using the 8.5mm super conductor wires from MSD, I have seen people run larger though, but you should be fine with 8 or 8.5mm.

They actually sell an HEI kit for our cars! It comes with everything you will need. I have the external coil and i am using a new cap and rotor by MSD. I am not sure how the Accel ignitions work but a lot of people go with them too! Call up Summit or Jeggs, they will help you, it is their job! That's what i do if i have a "stupid" question. You will get the usual *** hole but they usually help you and guide you through your purchase. If i were you i would just buy the kit, either 6a or 6al, whichever one you prefer. Both are the same but the 6al has a rev limiter and shock control. They run between $150 and $200 plus you would want that wiring harnes for your car that runs around $25!

Sorry about the pricing, it is $200-$250 for the KITS! I gave you the prices for just the boxes. Well, you can do that and just buy the coil for MSD ignitions, dust cap, coil wire and bracket and you will have the kit! That wiring harness will help out a lot too! later

I did not see what you are looking for. Did you call them and ask for the part that hooks up an MSD ignition box to your ignition without having to splice anything. When i spoke to them i was told that it was a wiring harness! Bout the other brands, i do not know, but i have heard a lot of good things about DUI ignitions. I think that is what they are called. Alot of racers use them. You can use the stock coil if your engine will not see high RPM's. The box is like an amplifier, it amplifies your stock ignition and the coil backs that up! The coil is there to bump the spark up for higher RPM use. I needed one since my motor set up will be seeing up near 7000rpm. You should really give a tech dept. a call, they will recommend the best selsction of parts for your combo as good as most of the people on here! See what they say and then bring that info back here to see if anyone reccomends it or has used it! good luck
