what are some good spark plug wires?
I was looking to get moroso blue max wires, but if anyone can convince me to get something else I will. I need good RF suppresssion because of my stereo, I also want good performance. Any suggestions?
On a side note, do they come in any other colors besides blue?

I have Taylor wires on mine, pretty cheap. like $45, real low resistance. Crane Cams has some that they make called Fire Wire, which are only 400 OHMs per foot, for about $35. both have really good supression

MSD, Jacobs, and Taylor wires have worked well for me. As was mentioned above, Taylor Spiro Pro wires are a good deal for the $.

From what I have heard the stock ones are not that bad, heck they cost about the same price as a set of average Accel wires.

The resistance per foot of the stock wires is much higher than that of most aftermarket radio supression wires. MSD has the lowest value, followed by Jacobs, and Taylor. Lower wire resistance means less energy dissipated in the wire, which is more important in a CD type ignition system, like an MSD system, for example. Some resistance is required, however, to supress the EMI generated.

Packard Electric wires. They are available in a variety of resistance ratings, and a variety of insulation depths. Your original wires were Packard Electrics, and probably lasted a sheot-load of miles without a problem.
If you are concerned about resistance, consider Ohm's law, then calculate the effect of that little bit of resistance on a 25,000 volt supply. The only thing the resistance does is supress the residual sparks from saturation of the ignition coil (so that you only get ONE spark per cycle). It always works for me, whereas straight wire always seems to be more of a problem.

I cant speak for new MSD wires, but a friend of mine had them on his 87 El Camino. Every time he touched the distributor to change the timing, he would get a nasty shock. Plus he would get radio interference. We took them off and measured them, and the longest wire was 10,000 ohms. He went to the auto parts store and got the same wires I did, 1988-1995 350 Chevy truck 8mm Borg Warner wires. The longest one measured 2,000 ohms, he has little to no radio interference, and no longer gets a shock when he touches the distributor. He even has an MSD 6A and MSD coil too...
