my turn signal wont work... HELP!

my right turn signal wont work on my 85 trans am, it will work every once in a while but not very often, its not the bulb and i thought it was a ground wire so i checked and cleaned all the ground connections that i could find. does anybody have any tips or know where the ground wire is for the right turn signal??? thanks alot

Try checking "juice cables" if they're grounded somewhere; this is blue one from the front bulb to turn sw. (should rather say from switch to turn light), and green one from the rear bulb. Let someone turn on right signal lights; check front or rear one is darker than normal; if so start checking from this light.

PS sorry 'bout my English

perhaps you need a new turn signal relay

do you have a voltage guage? is it reading low? GM cars do funny things with the turn signals when system voltage is low...check your voltage at battery and alternator with a multimeter, battery should hold around 12.5 volts cold and alt should be putting out about 14.5 Dont feel bad I've been chasing turn signal problems in the last several GM cars I've owned

the voltage is actually registering high, i just put a new alternator and battery on it, i have found that if u tilt the steering wheel all the way down past where it clicks it works, but as soon as you raise it up a little bit and it clicks it wont work, should i just change the switch?

Sounds like there might be a loose connection or broken wire in the column. Columns are such a pain in the (_*_). Somewhere in a recent post about ignition switches, Vader posted a shop manual exploded diagram of the column.
