battery keeps gonig dead?
i had a problem about a week ago whare the car didnt start the battery was still ok but wouldnt start i went and started it the next day and it started ever since then if i leave the battery hooked up and go to start it the next day the battery is very week and dies now if i unhook the battery and hook it up when im ready to start it its fine it starts. i think its a bad starter anyone have any suggestions its never done this before.
I have the same problem. Battery dies completely in less than a day. Newly charged, too.
Something must be on that isn't shutting off. I think my dad tested it, and the battery is getting used even when the car is off. No idea what is doing it, though. However, whenever the battery gets connected, there is a clicking coming from a black box (small thing, with about 4 wires going to it) near the front window, on the driver's side.
It clicks for a few seconds, and stops. I'm guessing that thing is doing it. I really have no idea, though. Just got a book for third-gen's, and I'll see what it is, and try to test it.
Very big problem here, too. For now, I suggest you just get a battery-disconnect and attach it to your cables, if you havn't done so, yet.
Disconnect it while you're not using it.

You'll have to use an ammeter to trace teh cause of the drain. Connect your meter and remove fuses from the panel one at a time. One of them should cause a substantial drop in the standby current. Do you have an aftermarket audio amp or alarm in your car?
