hey guys how do I remove the bearings on the alternator from my 85 tpi. On the rear it looks like you just knock it inward. how about the front. it looks like the front bearing is pressed onto the shaft. I need to strip my alternator so I can powder coat it.

 

Once you have the pulley off and the shaft out from the end frame, there should be a screw holding a retainer plate on the inside. Remove the screws and the plate, then the bearing should be removable with a push from the outside.
