Location of battery disconnect switch.....
Where can I mount my battery diconnect switch w/o drilling thru the tail light or the bumper on my GTA? I was wondering if it was possible to cut a hole behind the license plate and mount it back there. That way I could just take off my tags at the track and be ready to go.

if you race the car, there are rules on where you can locate the switch. im not sure what they are but you might want to check your local tracks rules

most of my friends and i mount it through the tail light housing and drill a hole in the rear firewall. i suppose you could drill a 1/4 hole and run a "push off" style handle out the back. honestly where the license plate is located there is a large housing there that holds the electric pull down hatch and i doubt there's much room to mount it.

if you run a fuel cell and no longer have the stock tank the fill cap location seems ideal. i don't know what your running or what type of racing you do... but thats where i would put it (if legal).
how about protruding from below your rear bumper? that would not cause any permanent body disfigurement.

If possible, that's where I'd mount it.

i finally got mine mounted (Camaro). Went right behind the plate with a little "modification" to the electric pull down bracket.
I also had to bend a tab (one that covers the spring) out on the lisence plate bracket itself because it wouldn't close enough. It still doesn't close all the way but it closes enough to look like nothing is different.
Now nobody the wiser will F with the switch on the street and I can flip the plate down at the track. For extra vandal protection I will just remove the switch handle and leave it ON if need be.
