Fans Staying On When Cold

Engine: 305
Transmission: T-5
Put ignition switch in run.
Disconnect Coolant fan relay connector
Connect test lamp between terminals of connector at the BROWN wire and the DARK GREEN/WHITE wires.
If lamp lights - check DARK GREEN/WHITE wire for short to ground...if it shorts fix it
If lamp does not light, replace coolant fan relay.
With thanks to my shiny new (used) factory service manual...
