Wierd buzzing noise behind dash...

There is this wierd buzzing noise coming from behind my dash and i don't know what it is. It only buzzes when the engine is running (not even when the key is turned forward). I can't really explain the buzz, but it's not the same sound as when you leave the key in the ingnition and the doors are open. Does anyone know anything that can buzz that is underneath the dash?
Thanks.

i would say check bottom of windshield all across for loose sealer, air could be making the VIN plate flap, i have had this happen on an 84 before, was a very odd wierd metal flapping ticking noise, but would quit at around 10mph and under usually, never happended at full stop.

hmm

i found out what it is. It's this green box shaped thing that is plugged in right next to my turn signal flasher (silver circle). Does anyone know what it is? It doesn't seem to effect anything when it is unplugged.

I once had this problem in my car with the choke relay buzzing in the way you describe. The cause was my alternator dying. I had it reconditioned and then the buzzing stopped.
