I've bought my car, a 91 RS 305 about 2 years ago and the speedometer and odometer has worked only once or twice the whole time. All the other guages work fine. I've taken the guage cluster out and cleaned the connections to the guages but still no luck. I've searched for this and still came up with nothing except maybe blown fuses or VSS sender. what is the VSS sender? from what I've read it is in the trans, but if the fuses are fine is the first thing that I should check after that?
Where are the fuses to check?
and anyone who can think of anything else that might be keeping it from working I'd appreciate your input

if anyone has had a similar problem or even knows about the electronic speedometer id like to hear b/c my car has to go for inspection in september and i need to have the odometer fixed then put 1000 miles on it before i take it
