starting car without keys

just got a 1982 T/A yesterday, and the ignition key was lost, i dont have the money right now to get one cut, but would like to try and see if it runs, i looked thru the haynes manual to see what wires have to be jumped on the steering column, but it doesnt give a very understandble description, if anyone could help me it would be appreciated thanks

This question is very unlikely to be answered on this board. I would suggest just getting a new lock cylinder, they're not too hard to replace and can be had for fairly cheap at a junkyard.

quickest way to run a non computer controled SBC with a coil in cap HEI:

run wire from batt to power term. on the distrib.

use screwdriver (or somthing else metal) to jump the connections at the starter.

the engine will start

now to kill it, you have to yank that wire off.. lol... oh and you still need to disable the lock steering, ect...

but that will let you know that it runs.
